Corn Toss

Corns toss, another popular name for cornhole, has been a great countryside game of throwing cornhole bags to a raised platform and aimed at a hole at the other end of the board.
The American Cornhole Association (ACA) has published an official guideline in playing corn toss. Among many, the following are some of the most basic rules:
Board Design:
Although anyone can customize his own cornhole board, ACA’s first rule is to make sure that the official dimensions of the game court be followed. The basic layout of the game court, rectangular in shape, is measuring 10 feet wide and at most 45 feet long. The corn toss boards are to be found each end of the court, the holes away from the center of the court.
Game Equipment:
The most basic game equipment used in corn toss is the playing board. ACA’s officially published dimensions are 48” x 24 ‘’ rectangular board, about one inch thick. Each board will have a hole at one end, six inches in diameter, and situated nine inches away from the edge of the board. The board has to be evenly surfaced. Some players who chose to have their own corn toss board design often use tarp pictures or large stickers on their boards, according to their preference.
Game Rules:
The game is played by two teams, each with a corn toss board on their side. The teams might choose to toss coin in order to decide which teams plays first. The game starts with one member from the first team tossing a cornhole bag and trying to make the bag get into the hole on the other team’s cornhole board. An interesting variation of the game is playing doubles where each team assigns team members to compete in trying to do pitches from one board only. Each team will race to have points that reach up to twenty-one points in all. In case that the both team are even in twenty-one points or more the game will still continue until one team will outscore the other team player.
When this happens, either the losing team performs a pre-agreed consequence, or a rematch can be done depending on the rules agreed upon before the start of the game. There is no strict rule on the number of players to play for a corn toss team, but the most important thing to consider is that each team will have to have the same number of playing members.
Several variations of the game have been added by players but these basics have been observed throughout.
